According to his flight log, Herbert Altner is taking some more turns around Burg near Magdeburg – he has logged five flights that day – the aircraft is not recorded in his notes.

During the Night of March 18th, 1945, to March 19th, the Royal Air Force is once more sending the Mosquitos – 30 are attacking Berlin, 30 are returning home[1]Middlebrook, Martin et al.; The Bomber Command War Diaries; Page 683.

The Morgenmeldung of the Luftwaffe Führungsstab Ic the next day is confirming the attempt to intercept them:
